Anyes Galleani is an Italian-born, California-based, award winning visual artist who uses collage & digital media to create images and mixed media art.
Anyes started her creative journey as a photographer during her college years. After graduating she went on to photograph fashion and celebrities for more than a decade before expanding her work to include design and, shortly after, video production. While her professional career evolved successfully, Anyes pursued her personal art, which was fueled by a deep passion for photo & film montage and an avid interest in digital technology.
Over the years Anyes created images with subjects ranging from pop culture icons to cityscapes and, eventually, in 2012, as she was searching for a more unique method than traditional prints to bring her art into the tangible world, she began using collage and mixed media. The idea was to make her work look like weathered street posters, an inspiration she got while shooting fashion in the street of Downtown Los Angeles, which used to be a major street art hub. This hands-on approach added yet another layer of creativity to her art and, since then, she transformed hundreds of images into one-of-a-kind original artworks, receiving a welcome response from galleries, collectors and corporate buyers and culminating with her having her own gallery in Downtown Los Angeles for several years.
After closing the gallery in 2020, Anyes moved with her husband to the beautiful Temecula countryside where she has been focusing on creating large mixed media abstracts.
